Hello, and welcome to Christakis Pediatrics!
We are so grateful you’ve entrusted us with the care of your child. Our team strives to provide excellent medical care for your family through all stages of life, from birth through college.
Our Practice Model:
While we are a traditional, old school and personal private practice, we also offer families the medical attention needed in nontraditional formats. In 2008, we introduced an annual family administrative fee. This makes it possible for us to:
- schedule visits in a way that allows adequate time to answer questions, offer guidance, and build rapport with your child in an unrushed way
- provide our website, which has licensed and high quality medical information relevant to the care of your child
- provide portal access
- home visits
- virtual visits
Our regular office hours are 9AM to 4:30PM Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Thursdays 9AM to !@ noon. After hours calls will always be answered by myself or my covering physician colleagues: Doctors Jerry Wexler and Suzanne Laskas of Boca Raton Pediatric Associates.
We also offer weekend sick visits on Saturday mornings either at our office or at the covering doctors’ office, depending on who is on call for the weekend. I receive notes and labs whenever one of our patients is seen at their office. On nights and weekends, the doctor on call (either myself or one of the other two) is available to speak to you in case of an emergency. The number to call is always the same: 39CHILD (561-392-4453).
Our website is maintained regularly to keep the most-up to date information available to you. The “Recommended Links” tab in the Resources section is where you will find these links which have been researched and vetted by me. We will continue to add new links and information over time.
Our Team:
am a board-certified pediatrician with 40 years’ of experience in child health. I also pursued additional training in pediatric mental health and behavioral pediatrics which allows me to provide care for children with ADHD, depression and other mental health challenges. What I really enjoy is getting to know each child over time, and watching their growth and development evolve through high school and beyond.
My daughter Georgia Christakis M.D. MPH is also a board certified pediatrician. She and Nicole Mark, D.O. occasionally stand in for me when I am away. I am happy that we can offer female teens another option should they be more comfortable with a doctor of the same gender.
I feel very fortunate to have our pediatric nurse Jina. She joined our team in 2018 and she is particularly adept at immunization protocols and digital communication. As a pediatric nurse she also can advise you with her training and experience. Jina continually communicates with me on all medical calls into the office. Ana handles the front desk and administrative duties. Kelly works off site as our billing and insurance expert.
